Recount – summary of what happened in the plot
 
The well-known book “Pride and Prejudice” tells about the love story of Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy, which took a long way to her start. The main things which mad the love a long way to start were things like prejudice and rash conclusions. But also things like a planned marriage of Mr. Darcy and a nice of Lady Catherine were obstacles which were to overcome.
«It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife. » I think, this sentence represents the whole story very good.
Marriage in this time was kind of a business. And Jane Austen tells this facts with a lot of exaggeration and irony.
So, the plot is about a love story between different couples, not only Eliza and Mr. Darcy, but also Eliza’s older, Jane and Mr. Bingley and another sister of Eliza, Lydia and Mr. Wickham. But it retells also how the higher society of this time functioned. In my opinion, Austen criticize the society of this time, told in a love story.

Describing the characters from the book. What do you like/dislike about them? The story both the movie and the book relate is about Elizabeth Bennet (Keira Knightley) in the leading role and her way to love. “The business of her life was to get her daughter married.” That is all what Mrs. Bennet wants for her five daughters. And this is it what marriage was 200 years ago: a business.
